TIPS FOR STAFFS: 1. Assemble Layshaft and Pinion Shaft nuts with a drop of locktite to prevent loosening. Torque 115 ft-lb. 2. Tighten the pinion bearing nut to 180 ft-lb. during each gear change. 3. Oil Quantities for a dry gearbox: Road course- 2 quarts, Non-pump gearbox; 1.5 quarts, Gearbox with oil pump. Oval- 3 quarts, Non-pump gearbox; 2.0 quarts, Gearbox with oil pump.
